How to make a yummy Acai Bowl? – ChowBellaTravels

We recently got back to California after a few weeks in Europe and the weather here in California is so nice, it feels like summer!
So it was making me crave an acai bowl, who doesn’t love fresh fruit bowls?!

So let’s get into it.

Acai smoothie bowl ingredients:
1 organic Acai smoothie pouch
1 handful of baby spinach
Half a frozen banana
1 cup of frozen berries
1/4 a cup of water

 

Toppings:
Coconut shavings
Banana
Blueberries
Granola
Chia seeds

 

Instructions:
To open the acai smoothie pouch first run it under hot water for about 5 seconds, then cut it open with siscors and put in blender. Next add in your frozen banana, Baby spinach, frozen berries and water.

If you have a blender that pulses, start by slowing pulsing all the ingredients together.

And when it’s the consistency you like, stop it and pour into bowl.

Next for the toppings… the exciting part! 😉

Cut up the banana and strawberries. Then put all the toppings on the bowl as you would like.

Last step: make it pretty! 😍

I placed all my fruit, granola and coconut shavings on the acai purée and then it was ready for my tummy! Although it was almost too pretty to eat 🙈😉

So it’s a very simple and fun recipe that anyone can make!

    Welcome back to CA, Bella! Cheers from San Diego. I’ve tried virtually the same recipe. It is a seasonal fav around here in the summer… even though it is a gorgeous 80F right now in early February! Loved seeing Trader Joe’s and Sprouts ingredients… and looks like you have the new-ish Vitamix! Huge fan! Thanks for sharing.
